Mgr Alvaro Ramazinni (bishop of San Marcos, Guatemala, and human rights activist), Rigobertu Menchú (Nobel Peace prize winner), Nery Rodenas (director of Cordaid partner ODHAG), members of the Coordinadora Nacional de Organizaciones Indígenas y Campesinas -CONIC-, el Comité de Unidad Campesina -CUC-, and other human rights organisations, and hundreds of indigenous people of Mam communities of San Miguel Ixtahuacán have filed a complaint against Montana S.A. -a subsidiary of Goldcorp Inc.- and Peridot S.A. due to their illegal presence in indigenous territory.
